Pretty in Pinkeye is the first segment of the 13th episode in season 1 of Harvey Street Kids. The title of this episode is a reference to the 1986 romantic comedy, Pretty in Pink.
Synopsis[]
Dot gives Pinkeye a makeover, but his new look drastically changes his personality. Cue a range of magic and a very old ballet.

A flashback shows that Dot and Pinkeye having in common dancing and a taste for music, forging a friendship.
The episode begins in the Harvey Street Dump, where Pinkeye and Dot dance ballet nearby. Pinkeye was about to finish the dance holding Dot, but she is disgusted to see his pulsating conjunctivitis. Dot says that he has improved a lot since they became friends, where Dot is shown walking around Fluffy and meets Pinkeye where they have ballet and music in common, Dot dances with him not before using a plastic glove because she touched his nose. Pinkeye also says that both like cooking shows and puzzles. He nevertheless wants to show the kids on the block they both like to dance, which he dislikes that they keep it secret in the garbage dump. Dot justifies this by saying that she likes garbage.
Dot notes Audrey and Lotta and hides Pinkeye in the trash. After Audrey asked her about a trampoline she wants to build along with Dot keeping the lie that was talking to the trash, Dot runs them awkwardly, so they don't see Pinkeye. They suspect they have not gotten together too much, so they believe that Dot is an undercover agent of the government. After leaving her in her "spy affairs", Pinkeye faces her about feeling ashamed of being his friend and predisposes to a makeover. Dot bathes him, makes him a class of not laughing at gas cushions and brushes his teeth.
While Pinkeye's transformation gived gim the attention he needed. He wasted everything when he insulted everyone around him including his friends and who had supposedly helped him in the first place
Dot ends up giving him different clothes on the catwalk while they were alone. Later in the same place, Dot presents the change he had for the kids, and they love him so much that he likes the attention he receives. Dot on the other hand does not worry, and says that they can postpone the dance that she wanted so much to show on the block. Despite this, Pinkeye is still busy taking pictures with Melvin and Fredo for a photo shoot.
He also does the same by autographing the dolls of Lucretia, and making a commercial for Bobby. When Dot comes to visit the treehouse, The Bow acts as a bodyguard only lets Dot in if she gives her two coupons to redeem some ice cream. Inside the treehouse, set as a morning talk show, Pinkeye is interviewed live by Lucretia and it is also revealed that Audrey's flaming trampoline did not work.
Pinkeye however, becomes arrogant saying that he adapted to the beauty standards of society, and he did everything alone, forgetting who had helped him in the first place. He also takes advantage of criticizing everyone around him, including his admirers and interested acquaintances such as Lucretia, Melvin, Fredo, The Bow and Billy. When Dot was criticizing him about his behavior, Pinkeye defends himself by saying that Dot did the same with him and that he did well.

Later, Dot sends him a letter telling him to find her in the park. In the place, Dot is on the catwalk while performing an interpretive dance while wearing Pinkeye clothes, saying that people should be appreciated for what is inside and Pinkeye interprets that she want him as he was before the change. The two dance, and Pinkeye apologizes for what was previously said to the kids on the block, he also mentions that this dance reminded him that he cares about dancing and friendship. Then, Pinkeye sweats so much that his clothes returns to normal, and Dot mentions that make up corrupts, considering what happened in the episode. When Dot has contact with the infected eye of Pinkeye, it's contagious with conjunctivitis.

Trivia[]
- When Audrey's hair is partially singed off by her flaming trampoline exploding, she now bears a resemblance to that of her original design, minus her bow.
