Grosse Point Prank is the first segment of 6th episode in season 4 of Harvey Street Kids

Synopsis[]

Richie wants to prank Melvin because he believes that in this way he will become his friend. Melvin, however, takes this from a competitive side.

Plot[]

The episode begins with Richie Rich acting like he is asking someone to marry him, but he actually wants to ask the Bloogey Boys to become one of them, where the Harvey Girls supervise it. Richie plans to open a bottle of boba tea along with his dog Dollar jumping over a cake that he made for the group, which the latter does not entirely agree.

The girls, meanwhile question the meaning of the word Bloogey itself along with asking if they will let him become an official member. Richie is confident about it, saying he has been bonding with them, following the guidance of a book called "Male bonding for Broginners". Shown below is Richie massaging Pinkeye in the eternal mud puddle, hugging and opening up to each other with Fredo regarding their dreams and fears. This gives Richie a chance to explore a side he refers to as Ricky. His final goal however is to make a prank, to which the girls tell him that Melvin already has experience in that.

Richie wants to prank him, but he thinks putting two two-thousand-dollar bills counts as one. The Harvey girls, after a joke towards him, offer themselves as prank trainers for Richie. In the boys' tree house, Melvin draws a comic creating a character based on himself with two heads and a dragon body, which was based on the lie that Maria told him about his supposed twin whom he calls "Retaliation Abomination", a detail that Fredo comments on. Said character would later motivate him to take a competitive and aggressive stance with Richie. Melvin says the same thing to Fredo about his character of Planet of the Capes and receives a basket with blackberry pancakes from a Dap-O-tron where he eats them a lot, but he realizes that he has raisins, which he hates.

Richie appears saying that he made the prank, to which Fredo and Pinkeye flatter him, while Melvin denies that he is supposedly the king of pranks. He then talks to his drawing and wants retribution, for what he does to Richie the prank about the snake in a can. Richie is surprised that he believes that if he is in a prank war, he is making bonds with Melvin but the latter takes it from a competitive side.

Below are scenes of both boys pranking around each other, with Richie making the boys' sandwiches and Melvin's crown fly off like helicopters and wrapping the tree house in bubble wrap. Melvin for his part, alters Richie's throat spray with pepper spray and puts googly eyes to his Sky mansion. Richie wants to make the final prank, and Audrey incidentally suggests sticking a hot dog to his feet, and Lotta suggests sending puppies to them which they end up doing. In the tree house the boys receive the pups, but Melvin is paranoid thinking that they may be more than they think, so he wants to answer with a final prank. Pinkeye and Fredo ask him for a truce to stop sacrificing gases and Melvin apparently plans a false truce.

At the kickball field, Richie receives the message from Melvin, where he asks to meet at the sky mansion, Melvin allegedly gives up and asks for a "victory lap" at the mansion. When Richie asks Irona to move the ship, she only communicates with gases and Richie gives Melvin the victory. However, while trying to hack into the ship, Melvin broke down other of its components, freeing several animals from Richie's sanctuary, where he regrets seeing the trouble caused. This ruins the kickball game the kids were doing. When Melvin manifest himself, both kids and animals scold Melvin for what happened, but he did not seem remorseful. So the group wants to get vengeance, where Richie at first hesitated, but as technically Melvin broke the truce, he ends up joining and the kids search for ideas.

In the next scene, Melvin is in the middle of the park's forest and meets several figures of Maria, who insult him, saying "Hey Smelvin", and he reacts scared and ducks for protection. He realizes the joke and gets sad on the ground, Richie apologizes for going too far but Melvin wants retribution again. Therefore, he pushes Richie and makes a complex trap made like a laughter house using mud, cakes, and balloons filled with flatulence. However, he activates the trap and is attacked by his own invention. When the Harvey Girls and Richie go to see him, Melvin apologizes for everything done explaining everything he felt, while destroying his drawing symbolizing that he does not want to hear the monster that motivated him to take revenge. Melvin gives Richie the pass to be a Bloogey boy and incidentally, they tell him the secret of what his group's name means. The boys want to close the deal by spitting phlegm in their hands to shake Richie's hand, where Richie himself regrets it at the last moment.
